becoming healthier
I’ve been on a health journey for the last few years (or my whole life), slowly making changes here and there as I feel equipped to incorporate them into my life and I thought it would be fun to share what I’ve done so far (keeping in mind these have been implemented over years, not all at once).
making as much as I can from scratch
only buying natural fiber clothing
getting sunlight as much as I can and protecting myself from artificial blue light (also no sunscreen)
if I’m buying something in a package, it needs to have minimal ingredients, I need to actually know what those ingredients are, and they’ve gotta be [mostly] good for you (no dyes, seed oils, gums, etc.)
organic, grass fed and finished, pasture raised, and as much raw dairy as I can get into my diet with where I’m at (regionally and budget wise)
mouth taping
strength training 3-4x a week
standing desk
natural remedies are always tried prior to any pharmaceutical
linen sheets, cotton duvet cover, silk pillowcases
bible study
beef liver supplements daily
animal-based prenatal
vinegar for washing clothes, Branch Basics for everything else
consciously paying attention to the ingredients in my beauty products
reading physical books
getting 8 hours of sleep, minimum
non-fluoride toothpaste (actually switched to a tooth powder)
no sunglasses (this actually hurts me on a fashion level so sometimes I put them on for an outfit pic🥲)
switched to glass food containers
There’s something I’m missing can just feel it but that’s a pretty good list I think. In 2026 I want to make even more from scratch, my list includes marinara sauce, ranch, mayo, sour cream, salsa, and Bloody Mary mix. I also want to learn to sew my own clothes (I’m scared though!).
