may layover diaries
I officially got out on the line (which basically just means I passed all of my tests and started flying) as a flight attendant in May and I had the opportunity to spend time in Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, and Los Angeles. If you’ve been here for a while, you know that I am not a solo traveler, I would much rather be making memories with Dylan, but when life gives you lemons (am I right?)! Dylan remembers the room keys, the money, he’s the navigation expert, he’s basically the brain of vacation and I’m just the lil follower. Now I have to be responsible, and I’m really not all that responsible, so we’re on a little learning curve here. I’m so excited for Dylan to get laid off this winter so I can bring him with me.
Dallas by far was the nicest hotel I’d ever stayed in (The Omni), I spent the most time with my crew in Fort Lauderdale and the sunshine was really healing after everything I’d just gone through, and LA was the first time I truly ventured out on my own. This whole thing’s been therapeutic and it feels like a God thing if I’m being honest, I feel like I’m learning so much about myself.
